Torbay's cycling mayor has announced a series of sociable rides in Torquay as part of Cycling UK's 'Big Bike Revival' - partly aimed at those with e-bikes.

With the current heatwave it's thought more people will look at cycling with many willing to try an e-bike if they haven't cycled for a long time.

Beth Huntley, an experienced British Cycling Coach, said: "Bought an e-bike and want to get out on it a bit more?

"Maybe you need a bit more confidence to feel happy cycling on the road or want to know where you could go for a more peaceful ride? Join Safe, Sustainable Travel Torbay for a series of fun, sociable and relaxed rides and then chat about it over a coffee after."

She wants riders to feel 'more confident and empowered to get out there'
