'My Little Ramadan' offers a unique insight into the holy month

As Ramadan gets underway a Devon woman - who's not a Muslim - has been telling us about why she fasted for a month in solidarity with her husband.
Abigail Yardimci has just released a new book - based on the experience - with the hook line 'one moody Turkish husband, one screaming toddler, thirty days to find true happiness'.
My Little Ramadan is Abigail's fourth novel which she says it 'uplifting, contemporary fiction' and is released today on the first day of fasting for Muslims everywhere.
The 44 year-old author says she is excited to bring this story of motherhood, hunger and life lessons to readers who would like to better understand Ramadan itself.
She said: "It's important to show respect as well as genuine curiosity about different cultures and religions.
"I've learned that first-hand, being married to somebody from a different faith."
My Little Ramadan is the sequel to the popular 'Life Is Yours Trilogy', but can also be read as a standalone book.
It follows exhausted new mum, Jess, as she fasts for the holy month of Ramadan, hoping it will reveal the secrets of motherhood, life and everything.
"I'm so pleased I got to write a story based on my own experiences. I've included themes very close to my heart including motherhood, postnatal depression and multi-cultural love.
"The story is packed with humour as well as drama, taking my own lived experience to another level!"
My Little Ramadan is published by Soft Rebel Publishing today with more details via www.abigailyardimci.com
