A Devon charity says it's on course to help provide specially created music playlists to thousands of UK dementia sufferers this year.

Torquay's Norms McNamara, who's behind the idea, says favourite songs often stay with people - even if they have the condition.

He says in most cases it helps sufferers relax, but there's been cases of people getting up and dancing.

The Purple Angel campaign - which now works internationally - started in 2012 with the aim of making Torbay the first Dementia Friendly resort in the country.

Founder and resident Norman McNamara - who has the condition - decided to change the way people see dementia.
