Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Exmouth crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle crash in Exmouth.

It happened on Salterton Road at around 8.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 August) - at the junction with Dinan Way.

The collision involved a silver Ford Transit panel van and a green motorcycle. The rider suffered life-changing injuries as a result.

A 26 year old man's been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and causing serious injury by driving without due care - he's currently in police custody.

A full forensic investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of this collision.

Any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the crash are asked to phone 101 quoting Log 908 of 23rd August 2022.
