Motorcyclist seriously injured in East Devon crash

The man, in his 50s from Exeter, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital where he remains

Police are seeking witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash near Rousdon in East Devon.

Officers were called to the scene on the A3052 Sidmouth Road - at the junction with Green Lane - at around 3.55pm on Monday (20 June).

The crash involved a red Honda motorcycle and a white Renault Kangoo.

The motorcycle rider, a man in his 50s from Exeter, sustained multiple serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital where he remains. The other driver was uninjured.

Roads policing officers attended alongside paramedics and the fire service.

The road was closed for seven hours while a specialist examination of the scene was carried out by police.

Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for any witnesses to contact them. They would particularly like to hear from anyone with relevant dashcam footage.
