A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision near Barstaple.
Police were called shortly after 7pm on Saturday 11 June to a report of a single-vehicle collision on the B3230, Plaistow Mills near Muddiford.
The collision involved a Silver Honda CB600 Hornet motorcycle which was travelling northbound towards Ilfracombe. The rider of the motorcycle, a 30-year-old local man, suffered multiple serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford hospital for treatment.
Local officers as well as officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended the scene and closed the road to facilitate an investigation. Once a forensic examination had been conducted the road was re-opened.
Officers are working to establish the cause of this collision and would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.
