Police looking for man who made threats with barbed wire baton in Paignton

Police are appealing for information after a man threated a young driver with a barbed wire baton in Paignton.

It happened at around 8.30am yesterday morning (17 March) on Marldon Road.

Two cars passed each other on a narrow stretch of the road, just before the threats were made.

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police has issued this statement:

"Police are appealing for information to help trace a male driver who threatened the occupant of another car with a baton wrapped in barbed wire on Marldon Road, Paignton, yesterday, Wednesday 17 March.

"The incident occurred at around 8.30am. The two cars passed each other on a narrow stretch of the road just prior to the threats being made.

"The suspect is described as white male in his 40s, approximately 5’10” – 6’2” in height, with short brown hair. He was driving a white pick-up truck, possibly a Toyota Hilux, and was wearing green wellington boots."
