A man's been seriously injured in an assault in Exeter.

Police were called by the ambulance service at around 9.30pm on Sunday 17 August following a report of an assault outside Sainsbury’s Local, Sidwell Street, Exeter.

It was reported that the victim, a man in his 50s, had sustained a head injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
