Man fined for punching police horse at Torquay United match

A man from Hartlepool's been fined more than £1200 for punching a police horse in the head at a Torquay United match.

Blaise the horse was punched by Peter Mincher before the National League Play Off final against Hartlepool at Bristol in June last year.

The 43 year old from Lindsay Road was found guilty of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal at Bristol Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined and ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge totalling £1,215.
