Man left with life-threatening injuries after crash in Torquay

A man's been left fighting for his life in hospital after a crash in Torquay involving a stolen moped.
Police were called to Hamelin Way at 10.35pm last night (Monday 6th September) to reports of a crash involving a stolen moped and a recovery vehicle.
Emergency services attended the scene and a man was rushed to Derriford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers say a number of people fled the scene.
The road was closed for around three hours so an examination of the scene could be carried out, and the vehicles recovered.
