Man to appear in court with attempted murder and GBH following Exeter attack
Two people were left seriously injured following the alleged assault last week
A man has been charged with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm, following an alleged attack in Exeter.
40-year-old Dwayne Huggins is appearing before magistrates court today (12 May).
He was arrested yesterday (11 May), in relation to the incident - in which a man and woman suffered serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:
"A 40-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to two alleged assaults in Exeter.
"Dwayne Huggins, of Old Tiverton Road, is due to appear before magistrates sitting in Exeter on Wednesday 12 May.
"Police launched an investigation after a man and a woman, aged in their 30s and 20s respectively, sustained serious injuries in an alleyway in the Barberry Close area of Whipton on 6 May."
"The man remains in hospital in a stable condition."
