Man dies in Tiverton road traffic collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a road traffic collision in Tiverton yesterday afternoon. The incident happened in Blundells Road involving two cars and a small lorry at around 12.45pm.

The driver of one car, a local man, had suffered critical injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance and died today.

The two occupants of a second car were both treated in hospital for serious injuries.

Police closed the road for several hours whilst a forensic examination of the collision scene was conducted. It was then reopened at around 8.40pm.
