Man dies following Devon crash

It happened in Braunton yesterday and involved a car and motorcycle

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash in Devon.

A motorcyclist died at the scene of the collision in Braunton yesterday afternoon (1 June), involving two vehicles.

The road at Heddon Mills Cross was closed for a number of hours whilst examinations were carried out.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"At approximately 1232hrs on Tuesday 1st June 2021 Police attended a report of a RTC involving a car and motorcycle at Heddon Mills Cross, A361, Braunton, Devon.

"The male rider of the motorcycle was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. The road was closed for a number of hours whilst a forensic examination of the collision scene was conducted.

"Officers from the Roads Policing Team who attended are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, either vehicle prior to the collision or have dash camera footage to contact police, quoting the log number 440 of 1st June 2021."
