Man dies after sustaining injuries in Paignton crash

A man has died two days after sustaining injuries in a crash in Paignton.

It happened on the A385 Totnes Road on Monday night (2 August) and involved two-vehicles.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"At approximately 10pm on Monday 2nd August 2021 a two-vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the A385 Totnes Road, Collaton St Mary, Paignton, Devon. The collision involved a Silver Mazda MX-5 and a Silver Toyota Auris.

"As a result of the collision, the driver of the Mazda has sadly died today on the 4th August 2021 as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision.

"Local officers as well as Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended the scene.

"Police would like to thank the public for their patience whilst we dealt with the collision."
