Man dies after becoming trapped between cars in Plymouth

Police were called to the incident in Stonehouse last night

It is understood that a man has died after becoming trapped between his vehicle and two parked cars in Plymouth.

It happened in Penrose Street in Stonehouse last night (Monday 6 December).

Officers were called to the scene and the road remained closed for a period of time.

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "At 1843 hours on 6th December 2021 Police were notified of a collision which had taken place in Penrose Street, Plymouth involving a blue coloured Vauxhall Grandland and two parked vehicles.

"It is understood from enquiries at the scene that the driver of the Vauxhall has become trapped between his vehicle and the parked cars and sadly passed away at the scene.

"Officers from Devon and Cornwall roads policing team attended the collision.

"Police would like to thank the public for their patience while the road remained closed for a period of time while an investigation was completed.

"The family of the deceased are being supported by specialist trained officers."
