A man's gone on trial accused of murdering a 74 year old Devon woman by repeatedly stabbing her.

Lorna England was pronounced dead after being attacked on a Saturday afternoon in Feburary last year in Exeter's Ludwell Valley Park.

Exeter Crown Court was today told the 74 year old was walking home from the local Lidl's when she approached and repeatedly struck by a man she did not know.

Cameron Davis, now 31, from Exeter Road in Exmouth has already admitted to killing her - but denies murder.

The jury were today told he suffers from a mental disorder and was being seen by a community mental health team at the time.
