Man arrested on suspicion of serious assault in Totnes

Police say no further suspects are being sought

A man has been arrested on suspicion of serious assault in Totnes.

Officers were called to a report of a disturbance along Queens Terrace, just before 4.30am on Tuesday (20 April).

Officers located a man at the Morrison’s fuel station nearby with a stab wound which is not thought to be life changing or threatening.

The man was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment.

A 24-year-old man from Totnes was arrested on suspicion of assault, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and is currently in custody.

Those involved are thought to be known to each other and no further suspects are being sought.
