Man arrested following crash in Torquay

The culprit tried fleeing the scene before being caught by officers

Police have tracked down a man who fled the scene of a crash in Torquay this morning.

It happened on Marldon Road and involved two vehicles.

One man has now been arrested.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"Police were called at 8.12am to reports of a collision between two vehicles on Marldon Road in Torquay.

"One of the vehicles was reported to have left the scene after the collision.

"A man has been arrested on suspicion failing to stop at the scene of a collision."

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the police by calling 101 or emailing 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log number 140 of 04/02/21.
