On Thursday, parts of the United Kingdom, including Devon, went to the polls on what is thought to be the biggest test of opinion outside of a general election in around half a century.

14:00 - A close call in Wonford & St Loyes. Labour's Marina Asvachin won by just 20 votes
13:50 - Another win for Labour as they retain St Sidwells & St James with Sue Aves
13:50 - Labour hold St David's & Haven Banks. Carol Whitton got 1671 votes
13:00 update - The Lib Dems gain Barnstaple South from the Conservatives, Conservatives retake Bideford West, and Janet Bradford from Newton Says No gains Newton Abbot South from the Lib Dems
12:30 - Independent Jess Bailey wins Otter Valley with over 3,200 votes
12:30 - Phil Twiss holds Feniton and Honiton for the Conservatives
12:15 - Sarah Parker-Khan holds Ashburton and Buckfastleigh for the Conservatives, closely followed by the Lib Dems
12:10 - Frank Biederman, the leader of the Independent Group, holds Fremington Rural
12:05 - Alan Connett, who is the leader of the Lib Dem group, holds Exminster and Haldon. The first Lib Dem seat announced today.
12:05 - The leader of Devon County Council, John Hart, holds his Bickleigh and Wembury seat
12:00 - Margaret Squires holds Creedy, Taw and Mid Exe for the Conservatives with almost 2,800 votes
12:00 - Labour also holds Pinhoe and Mincinglake with Tracy Adams
11:55 - For Labour, Yvonne Atkinson holds Alphington and Cowick
11:50 - Christine Channon holds Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton for the Conservatives
11:30 - In Dartmouth the Conservatives retain the seat with Jonathan Hawkins
11:25 - Labour retains Exwick and St Thomas, with Rob Hannaford receiving more than 1,800 votes
11:00 - First result comes in. Conservative Ian Hall holds Axminster
