Firefighters have put out a blaze at an industrial estate on the edge of Dartmoor.

Eight crews fought back the flames on the Old English Industrial Estate overnight on Wednesday October 27.

They were called to the scene in the early hours, but the fire is now out and an investigation into the cause is underway.

The B3212 was closed in both directions as a result but it has since reopened.

"Crews from Yelverton, Crownhill, Tavistock, Plympton, Camels Head, Ivybridge, Totnes, and Bere Alston have been at a fire involving commercial properties on an industrial estate just outside of Yelverton from the early hours of the morning.

"Crews contained the fire and our attendance has now been scaled back to two pumps, the aerial ladder platform from Crownhill, the water carrier from Plympton, and the Welfare Unit from Ivybridge while hotspots are monitored and dampened down.

"Crews are currently using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one thermal imaging camera and drag forks. Update to follow."
