There's a focus today on violence against women and girls in rural parts of Devon - and the support available.

It's as charities across the county are working together for the next 16 days to highlight attitudes to women - and how behaviour can escalate.

Jessica Taylor is from 'North Devon Against Domestic Abuse' and told about some of the online talks being planned: "Webinars on stalking, harassment, risks of AI and there's things on animal abuse as a strategy of coercive control from 'refuge 4 pets', she said.

"We've got details about refuge services, but also housing services for those people who are experiencing domestic abuse and are in need of support. There are also services around behaviours change for people that are causing harm and want to change their behaviours."

On Thursday hundreds of women will join a 'reclaim the night' march through Exeter, to highlight how females shouldn't have to modify their behaviour in order to feel safe.
