Police investigation launched after blaze at Plymouth housing development

Police continue their appeal for information after a blaze over the weekend at a housing development in Plymough.

It comes after officers discovered the fire on Prince Maurice Road on Sunday evening (April 20).

A spokesperson said: "A fire had begun within one of the properties, which spread to another two houses in a terrace of eight incomplete homes.

"The fire service attended and extinguished the blaze.

"Three of the properties have been damaged.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.

"Police are asking if anyone has witnessed anyone in the area of the building site before the fire or have any information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries, please contact police via our website here or by calling 101 quoting reference 50250097853.

"Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online or by calling freephone 0800 555111.

"Police would also like to remind people not to enter the building site and that there is site security present."
