Local MP Kevin Foster complained after Openreach originally said it was unable to restore services until sometime next week - after the optics cable box was damaged when a car drove into it.

A statement from his office said: "Kevin is particularly concerned at loss of broadband - a crucial utility, at this time.

"Many local businesses and people working from home are trying to start work and trade again following the most recent lifting of lockdown restrictions.

"Local residents had initially been told that this fault may not be fixed until 20 April, and Kevin has made clear to Openreach HQ that he is not content with such a delay.

"Kevin Foster has today been informed that Openreach engineers will be on site at the Willows from Wednesday 14th April, and that they will enact a temporary repair to immediately restore the broadband service, while at the same time working to replace the damaged fibre optics cabinet at the site."
