More than £6,000 has been raised for the victims of a fire in the South Hams, which destroyed a 14th Century pub and four homes.

The blaze swept through the Tradesman's Arms and nearby houses in Stokenham on Monday morning (27 September).

Now, Aaron Ryder - of the Marvelfitness gym in Kingsbridge - has created a JustGiving page to help those affected.

He and a group of people are currently undertaking a 24-hour workout at the gym, with the aim of raising £10,000.

18 crews were called to the scene to tackle the blaze - the cause is being investigated and no one was seriously injured.

More than 100 people have sent messages of support to the owners of the pub and the homes on the Tradesman's Arms Facebook page.
