Rail service delays between Taunton and Exeter caused by cattle

Delays of up to 50 minutes due to cattle on the railway line

Delays of up to 50 minutes are expected on Great Western and Cross-Country rail services between Taunton and Exeter St. Davids today.

It comes after cattle on the railway temporarily closed the line. They have since reopened.

According to Great Western Railway, services between Penzance and Cardiff Central via Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads may be cancelled, delayed or revised. They also say that train services between Exeter St Davids and London Paddington via Taunton and Reading may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

South Western Railway are conveying passengers between Exeter St Davids and London Waterloo via Salisbury in both directions until further notice. Great Western Railway rail tickets will be accepted for these journeys.
