Police seek information after Plymouth knifepoint robbery
A man threatened staff in Betfred on Plymstock Broadway and left with cash
Police detectives in Plymouth are investigating a knifepoint robbery.
It is reported to have taken place at around 7pm on Wednesday at Betfred on Plymstock Broadway.
They have issued a picture on their website of a man they are seeking to identify who may be able to assist with enquiries.
Detective Constable Gareth Jones, of the Priority Crime Investigation Team said: “A male entered the premises on Wednesday evening, brandishing a knife whilst making threats to staff and left with cash from the till. Staff were understandably shaken up by the incident”.
“A 28-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident but has since been released without charge.
“We are appealing to identify the person pictured who may have information to assist us and we’d also like to hear witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of around 7pm and noticed anything untoward.”
DC Jones added: “We would also like to hear from anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of the area during that time that could assist the investigation.”
