Police investigate assault in Plymouth city centre
A man was assaulted by four unknown males.
Police are investigating an assault that took place in Plymouth city centre at the weekend.
At around 1.30am on Saturday, a man in his 20s was assaulted at Derry's Cross roundabout by four unknown males.
The man sustained head and facial injuries and a serious concussion after he had tried to stop a female couple from being harassed. He was treated in hospital and later discharged.
He described the four unknown males as white, of slim build, aged between 15 and 17 years old and around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall.
He said one male had brown curly hair and all four were wearing tracksuits, with one of them being a grey tracksuit.
