Plymouth MP criticises Environment Secretary's gun reform remarks
Luke Pollard has written a letter to Therese Coffey, saying her comments about gun reform and the Keyham tragedy were 'completely inappropriate'.
Plymouth Sutton and Devonport MP Luke Pollard has written to Therese Coffey calling for her to apologise for comments allegedly made at the Tory Party Conference earlier this week.
In the letter posted online it claims she was heard saying she'd stopped gun law reform after the Keyham tragedy, adding the Conservatives are "on the side of shooters".
Back in 2021, 22 year-old Jake Davison shot dead five people in the Keyham area of Plymouth, injuring two others, before turning the gun on himself.
Pollard described the comments as "completely inappropriate". Greatest Hits Radio has approached Ms Coffey for comment.
