Plymouth man suffers serious injuries while trying to prevent burglary

A man has been left with serious injuries after a burglary in Plymouth.

At around 10.40pm on Monday 7th of October, a group of men forced their way into a flat in Wolsdon Street and assaulted a man inside when he tried to stop them.

They fled the property with stolen cash and a pair of Nike trainers worth around £100.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital to be treated for a shoulder injury and serious facial injuries.

Detectives are investigating the burglary and are appealing for witnesses and information. They would like to hear from anyone who may have captured the suspects on CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcam.

Police believe the group along Anstis Street before the attack and then fled in the same direction.
