Paignton man facing 14 charges to appear in court

It follows a series of motor vehicle thefts between 2023 and 2024 in the Newton Abbot area.

A Paignton man is facing 14 charges following a series of motor vehicle thefts between late 2023 and January 2024 in the Newton Abbot area.

41 year old Anthony Mcstein, of no fixed abode, will attend court in relation to a series of vehicle break-ins in the Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot and Paignton area. He has been charged with: one count of handling stolen goods, one count of possession of class A drugs, two counts of criminal damage, two counts of fraud by false representation and one count of theft. He's also been charged with a further seven counts of theft from a motor vehicle.

Mcstein is due at Newton Abbot Magistrates Court on 12 June for the first hearing.

The charges against Mcstein follow an investigation by the Newton Abbot Neighbourhood Policing Team.
