Bus fire at Sourton Down causes A30 lane closure
Fire crews extinguished the blaze yesterday evening.
A lane remains closed on the A30 today after a bus caught fire at Sourton Down yesterday evening.
Crews from Okehampton and Cornwall arrived at around twenty past seven to find the single decker bus on fire on the eastbound carriageway.
The blaze was extinguished and the 28 metre bus was severely damaged by the fire. The cause of the incident was confirmed as accidental.
National Highways have closed lane 1 of the A30 eastbound between A388 Launceston and A386 Sourton Down for a damage assessment to take place.
