12 engines rushed to thatched property blaze in North Devon
Crews will be in attendance at the fire in Georgeham for some time
A dozen fire engines have been rushed out to a blaze in North Devon.
We're told crews will be there over the next few hours, as the team fights the fire with water, and work to salvage the contents of the building, which caught ablaze earlier today (24 March).
We've also been told by local police that the roads leading in to the village will be closed for some time - with motorists urged to avoid the area.
In a statement, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "We are dealing with a fire involving two semi-detached thatched properties in Georgeham.
"We have 12 fire crews at the scene as both roofs are alight.
"We are advising people living in the area to keep their windows and doors closed due to the smoke.
"Road closures are also in place."
