Fundraiser launched after Plymouth man dies in motorbike collision

A fundraising drive has been launched for 45-year-old Ross Brown from Plymouth who died following a collision on Thursday, August 25.

Devon and Cornwall Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene on Kings Road, Stonehouse, when two vehicles collided at around 5:30am that morning.

Since the collision, relatives and friends have been raising money to help cover funeral costs.

On their GoFundMe page, it writes: "Ross Brown tragically lost his life following an RTC on the 25/8/2022, leaving behind 4 children and his wife. Along with all his devastated family and friends.

"Ross really was massively loved throughout the community. As you can imagine the family are distraught and trying to process this tragic loss. We would like to thank everyone for their support and kind words already received.

"We would like to raise money to help towards funeral costs to take some strain away from the family, donations of any amount would be appreciated, We would like to thank you for your continued support."

The police also say the family have paid tribute to him.

They said: “It is with the greatest sadness that devoted husband and loving father of four beautiful children, Ross Brown, 45, of Ernesettle, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident early in the morning of Thursday 25 August on Kings Road.

“During this very difficult time, please respect the family by allowing us the privacy, time and space we need to come to terms with our tragic loss.”
