Full inquest date set following the death of 13 year old holidaymaker

A date was today set for a full inquest into the death of a 13 year old girl from Birmingham who died last month while on holiday in Devon.

The youngster, from the Moseley area of the city, died on April 16th after emergency services were called to a cliff near to the Devon Cliffs, Sandy Bay holiday site in Exmouth.

The coroner today confirmed she had been on holiday with her family and was pronounced dead on arrival at Exeter's RD&E Hospital.

A further toxicology report is expected with a full inquest set for January 19, 2022.

At the time of the death, police confirmed events were not being treated as suspicious.
