Four more arrests made after fatal Torquay house fire

Four more arrests have been made following a house fire in Ellacombe Road, Torquay, in which a man, aged 37, died.

The cause of death is currently being treated as unexplained whilst enquiries are ongoing.

Police were called at 11.10pm on Saturday 22 May to reports of a fire at a property in Torquay.

A man in his 50s, from Torquay, was arrested in connection to the incident and released on police bail to return Friday 18 June.

Four more arrests have since been made in connection to the incident - two men in their 30s, a man in his 20s and woman in her 40s - all from Torquay, have been released on police bail, with the men in their 30s to return on Tuesday 22 June and the other two to return on Thursday 24 June.

Enquiries are ongoing and a cordon remains in place at the scene.
