Four injured in serious two-vehicle crash near Shaldon

Devon and Cornwall Police are continuing their appeal for witnesses and information after a serious crash near Shaldon.

It happened on the A379, with officers called to the scene at 5.35pm yesterday (17 March) to reports of a collision involving a Red Hyundai i20 and a silver Toyota Yaris.

We're told a 23-year-old man suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

His next of kin have been informed.

Three people sustained minor injuries and were checked over at Torbay Hospital.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene, officers thank the public for their patience while the investigation was carried out.
