Firefighters tackle large lorry fire in North Devon

Firefighters are tacking a large lorry fire in North Devon.

Crews were called to the A361 near Landkey this morning.

The road is currently closed in both directions.

Fire crews said: "Fire control received several 999 calls reporting a large articulated lorry on fire on the A361 near Landkey, Devon.

"Two fire engines and a water bowser were sent initially, and on arrival, with the lorry well alight, crews asked for another fire engine to assist.

"Crews are still currently on scene, with Police. The lorry is 100 per cent involved in fire and our crews are currently extinguishing it."
