Man suffers severe burns in an Exeter car park fire

He suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.

A man has suffered severe burns from a fire in an Exeter car park.

Emergency services were called to a yard off Okehampton Street in the city at around 10:30pm on Thursday night (27th February).

The man- in his 30s- was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

A police cordon was seen in place overnight and into today (28th February).

A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said: "Police were called by the fire service to a yard off Okehampton Street in Exeter, at around 10.30pm on Thursday 27th February following a report a man had suffered severe burns in a fire.

"The man in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"He remains in hospital undergoing treatment.

"Enquires are ongoing."
