Female pedestrian taken to hospital after early morning car accident
A woman has been taken to hospital after an accident involving a car this morning in Torquay's St Marychurch area.
The accident involving the pedestrian has closed the road from Bronshill Road to Cedar Court Road.
A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said: "We were called by the ambulance service with reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Marychurch Road, Torquay, at around 6.35am.
"The extent of any injuries is not currently known. The road remains closed at this time and the incident is ongoing.
"The female pedestrian has been taken to hospital via ambulance. Extent of injuries not known.
"Any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, is asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.police.uk quoting log 101, 20/1/21."
