Exmouth beach pollution warning issued after sewage spill

A small overflow has seen another sewage pollution alert in Exmouth.

South West Water confirmed the spill from a temporary tank feeding the overland pipeline.

They apologised and said it was a one-off human error and they have already put new processes in place.

The environment agency stated:

"Incident started August 30th 2024 16:12

Incident is currently expected to end on August 31st 2024

Affected bathing water: Exmouth"
