Elderly man in 'critical condition' after crash in Honiton

Witnesses are being urged to come forward

An elderly man has been taken to hospital and is in a 'critical condition' following a crash in Honiton.

It happened at around midday yesterday (Thursday 17 March) on the A35, at the junction with Pine Park Road. It involved two vehicles.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "At approximately 1220hrs on Thursday 17 March 2022, Police were alerted to a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A35 at the junction with Pine Park Road in Honiton.

"As a result of the collision a 79-year-old male was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, where he is in a critical condition.

"Officers from the Specialist Roads Policing team attended the scene and are progressing an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision."
