Driver arrested after crash on M5

A 43-year-old driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash on the M5 in Devon.

Police were called this morning after reports of a vehicle colliding with the central reservation between junctions 31 and 30.

A lane closure was put in place northbound - the road has since reopened.

A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We were called at around 6.50am on Monday 2 June following a report of a vehicle colliding with the central reservation on the M5 northbound between junction 31 and 30.

"A lane closure was put in place.

"A 43-year-old driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving. The road has since reopened."
