Cyclist airlifted to hospital with 'serious injuries' following Bideford crash

A man has sustained serious head injuries following a crash in North Devon.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Laurel Avenue, Bideford shortly after 5.00pm yesterday (Sunday 17 November).

It involved a pedal cyclist and a parked vehicle. As a result of the collision a 49-year-old man was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth to receive treatment for his injuries.

Any witnesses or anyone in the area at the time of collision with dashcam footage that may assist the enquiry are asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police via 101 quoting log number 671 17/10/21.
