A fire has engulfed a workshop in High Bickington.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service continue to ask residents to keep windows and doors shut as they remain at the scene of the fire.

At the height of the fire, eight fire engines and specialist appliances are attending the workshop at a farm in the village.

The workshop was well alight and reported to have contained 2,000 litres of diesel and 1,000 litres of oil.

This evening, the service say fire crews are now damping the fire down, it is under control, but they expect to be there for some time - at least overnight.

As of 7PM tonight (October 25), they were down to 3 appliances, from the original height of eight.
