Three people have been hurt in a crash at Torbay hospital this morning.

Police say a car has collided with a temporary building on the site.

Emergency services are at the scene, and car park A is currently closed, but the hospital remains open.

A spokesperon for the NHS said:"A number of traffic diversions are in place to support emergency services to manage the incident and car park A is closed.

"Our traffic officers are onsite to direct people to alternative parking."

Devon and Somerset's fire service adde: "We received a call at 10.47am today reporting that a vehicle had collided with a portacabin at Torbay Hospital, Torquay and there were reports of people trapped. Four crews from Torquay and Paignton fire stations were dispatched.

"On arrival the driver was already free and clear but two people were trapped under the car. Crews have lifted the vehicle and both casualties are now clear and being assessed by the ambulance service. Crews are still in attendance to assist partners and to ensure the scene is safe."
