Brixham voters reject plans to leave Tobay Council and join South Hams

People in Brixham have rejected plans to leave Torbay Council and join South Hams instead.

The results of yesterday's parish poll was revealed today.

54 per cent of voters said they did not wish to join South Hams District Council - with 46 per cent in favour - on a turnout of just 4.6 per cent

The poll is not binding, and is separate to next month's Torbay Council local elections - where every seat is being contested.
