Man sustains potentially life-changing injuries in A38 crash near Newton Abbot

Police investigating a crash on the A38 near Newton Abbot yesterday (Monday 6 February) are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a motorbike on the off-slip of the A38 for the A383 at Goodstone Cross, near Newton Abbot, at around 1.00pm.

A male rider, a local man in his 50s, was taken to Derriford Hospital with potentially life changing injuries.

The A38 was closed in both directions between Drumbridges and Ashburton for a time but was reopened at around 2.00pm.

Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended the scene and carried out an investigation during which the eastbound off-slip remained closed. It reopened at around 5.45pm.
