Landowners and businesses in Devon are being invited to find out how they can get involved in big-name film and TV productions.

The event at Coldharbour Mill in Uffculme later this month comes as Willem Dafoe's new movie is being shot on Dartmoor, with filming also recently taking place for the new Harry Potter TV series

Screen Devon and Mid Devon District Council have come together to share a new approach and 'desire to become a film friendly region' as they look to captialise on the recent filming interest here.

Claire Horrocks, Manager Screen Devon, said: "One of our priorities is making Devon more film friendly and making it easy and welcoming for production.

"Building upon our progress we want to ensure the whole of Devon have the opportunity to attract film productions and that the benefits are shared across the county."

Councillor Steve Keable, Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Regeneration at Mid Devon District Council, said: "We are inviting businesses, organisations, individuals, groups, landowners and suppliers based in Mid Devon to join us to discover what being film friendly means and to hear about the benefits of attracting Film and TV productions to the area."

The event is being held at Coldharbour Mill, Uffculme Friday 28 November 2025 at 10am. More details here
