Thousands of pounds in prize money has been on offer today at one of our region's biggest farming events.

The 'Agrifest' tradeshow at WestPoint is a chance for farmers to gather and talk about developments. The best Pedigree and Primestock cattle and lamb entries were also judged and there was also a competition for the best steak and burgers.

Speakers included Professor Tom Misselbrook, a net zero and resilient farming expert and Luppo Diepenbroek whose specialist subject is regenerative farming.

Today's event coincides with the #BackBritishFarming national day which the National Farmers' Union is backing to promote members' needs to politicians.
