Police say a local road is 'likely to remain closed for some time' after a crash this morning (23 April).
One person has suffered serious injuries.
A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers are currently in attendance at a serious collision which involved a vehicle and a pedestrian on the A379, Embankment Road, at New Bridge, Kingsbridge.
"One person has been reported to have serious injuries.
"The ambulance service is also at the scene.
"The road has been closed in both directions and is likely to remain so for some time. Road users are advised to seek alternative routes.
"It was reported to us at around 4.45am.
"The incident is ongoing."
